Our summer concert presented music by Orlando Gibbons, celebrating his 400th anniversary. As a musical successor to William Byrd, Gibbons was a hugely versatile musician, writing madrigals, instrumental and sacred works, all of which were be represented in our programme tailored to a summer's evening.

In addition to his music, we featured compositions by his contemporaries as well as later part-songs which adhere to the same musical values.

Audience members brought picnic chairs and hampers and to joined us for an alfresco picnic across the road in Gostrey Meadow after the show.  A perfect end to our season.
